To spay or not to spay.... that is the question...
Ok. It's silly and crappy title but I'm sleepy....
Had a heated arguement on this issue. Does sterilisation and responsibility go hand in hand? Some claim that they do not and will not abandon their spawn.... will they? It's a vicious cycle. Ok, 1st litter, 5 cute kittens/puppies.... total number of pets = 7. 2nd litter, another 5 cute kittens/ puppies.... total number of pets = 12. 3rd litter, another 5 cute kittens/ pupies.... total number of pets = 17. Are they seriously keeping all 17? If they give them away.... how can they be sure that the kittens/ puppies are well taken care of. What assurance can they give that out of the 17 x the number of years the mummy cat/ dog can give birth, are not abandoned? This excludes if the spawn.... are not spawning.
In this world, be it, pedigree, cross breed or domestic cats/ dogs.... there are some abandoning issues.
Seriously people.... you think you are looking out for the welfare of your pets? They don't need to breed. If you ask me, I think some people don't need to breed. A friend's cat spotted a mohawk. not because he went to an upscale native american salon, he lick his fur off. He's not sterilised. He sprays and was frustrated he couldn't get laid, he licked his fur off his body.
Is that looking out for their welfare? Haven't they heard of the term RESPONSIBILITY? It doesn't mean just to feed them. It means the physical, social and emotional of the animals.
I feel like smacking the faces of the people who refuse to sterilise their pets.
